Senior Network Engineer - Security Clearance
Oneida Technical Solutions, LLC (OTS), founded in 2014, is a trusted partner for IT modernization projects in highly regulated environments, including the U.S. Department of Defense. The U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) and the Regional Network Enterprise Center for the National Capital Region (RNEC‑NCR) are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with a Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, test, and troubleshoot the RNEC‑NCR network infrastructure, including the Installation Campus Area Network (ICAN).
Respond to critical and VIP tickets within 2 hours of notification via AESMP ticket submissions.
Install and maintain network hardware, operating systems, applications, and security configurations in compliance with Information Assurance requirements.
Support LAN, WAN, SONET, and related equipment; manage edge routers, distribution switches (NIPR/layer 2, SIPR/layer #), and 24/7 on‑call operations.
Configure and support DOD Common Access Card (CAC) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for user authentication and secure communications.
Perform equipment installations, movements, and enhancements for routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, SONET multiplexers, servers, SANs, and cable management systems.
Maintain NIPRNET Internet access, establish communication links, and implement secure data transmission methods (SSL, VPN, Citrix, SQL).
Qualifications
Secret or higher security clearance.
At least 6–10 years of network engineering experience (minimum 3 years relevant for junior positions).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
CCNP certification.
CompTIA Security+ certification.
Knowledge of DoD 8570 IAT certification requirements.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to climb ladders, pull cables, and maintain datacenter cabling.
