The role will guide the development and execution of industrial manufacturing capital projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring alignment with company strategy, culture, and engineering standards.

In supporting continuous improvement and strategic planning activities, you will act as a subject matter expert for manufacturing CI and project delivery.

What You Do

Lead project identification, scope definition, design integration, cost control, and schedule management.

Act as Project Manager in accordance with Engineering Department definition and “Capital Appropriation Request (CAR) Manager”.

Integrate engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, packaging, facilities, etc.) to ensure project success.

Manage procurement activities, including RFPs, competitive bids, purchase orders, and invoice control.

Identify, mitigate, and resolve project risks, conflicts, and constraints, providing timely escalation and recommendations to leadership.

Communicate project status through minutes, status reports, presentations, and leadership meetings.

Document and retain essential project and process documentation.

Conduct post‑project evaluations and lessons learned, working cross‑functional teams to optimize processes.

Support external contractors on site, ensuring food‑safe, human‑safe, and ergonomically favorable solutions.

Assist manufacturing personnel with equipment baseline settings, preventive maintenance plans, and spare‑part ordering.

Stay current with technology and industry best practices, researching new technologies to solve manufacturing challenges.

Participate in industry forums, seminars, training, user groups, and other professional development activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical area.

At least 2 years (Project Engineer) or 5 years (Senior Project Engineer) of progressive engineering experience within a manufacturing industry, preferably food.

Proficiency in design, equipment selection, installation, and troubleshooting for food processing and packaging systems.

Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel, Outlook), CAD, and internet applications.

Additional educational courses may be required to sustain technological knowledge.
