Caribbean – this role is based in the Caribbean; we are looking for applicants willing to live and work on a Caribbean Island.
Salary:
Basic salary plus a $12,000 annual tax‑free housing allowance, private healthcare and benefits including meals, relocation support, yearly flight home, and bonus / 13th month.

We are seeking a hands‑on and enthusiastic Engineer to support the Director of Engineering in maintaining the resort's buildings, equipment, and essential services to the highest standards.
About the Role As the Chief Engineer, you will work closely with the Director of Engineering and the Repairs & Maintenance Department team, ensuring day‑to‑day operations run smoothly across the resort. Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, you'll be responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting repairs, and supporting projects that keep this world‑class property in pristine condition. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skill and gain valuable leadership experience in a dynamic hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on buildings, grounds, and equipment
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
Assist the Director of Engineering with project coordination and contractor supervision
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment servicing
Support health, safety, and compliance initiatives across the resort
Assist in training and mentoring maintenance team members
Participate in the on‑call rotation for urgent maintenance needs

Qualifications & Experience
Trade qualification or technical certification in engineering, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or related field
2–5 years of experience in maintenance, engineering, or facilities management (hospitality experience required)
Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations
Problem‑Solving:
Diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions
Technical Aptitude:
Hands‑on competence with tools, equipment, and building systems
Teamwork:
Collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate clearly
Flexibility:
Adapt to changing priorities and respond to urgent situations
Attention to Detail:
Maintain high standards in all maintenance work
