Description As a member of the global Process Engineering Team, you will execute business‑unit driven process development programs. Your role will involve developing, designing, and introducing new chemical and pharmaceutical processes from laboratory scale through full‑scale manufacture, as well as providing ongoing technical support for existing products and process improvement projects.

Role Specific Responsibilities
Defines, leads, and manages process design projects to create constructible designs for new or expanded processes.
Develops and, with support from multi‑functional teams, leads the execution of plant process improvement projects and new product introductions.
Incorporates commercial and operational cost elements into design objectives to target both commercial and technical success.
Develops appropriate engineering models to improve scale‑up and operation of Aurorium technologies, and secures and enhances process knowledge.
Delivers new chemical process design for the engineering team and collaborates with project and operation teams throughout the execution of a project from concept to commercial‑scale production.

Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangements.
Reports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly.
Acts in a safe and responsible manner at all times.

Assists in the training, mentoring and assessment of other team members.

Education and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
Experience
Minimum of 4 years’ experience within engineering design and/or manufacturing of chemical, petrochemical, or pharmaceutical products.
Preferred specialized expertise in organic chemistry, separations, kinetic measurements, formulation, solids handling and processing, catalysis, heat and mass transfer, mixing/blending, crystallization, batch and continuous processes, integrated reaction/separations.
Experience with process design and development, including developing process flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
Experience with Aspen modeling, statistical software packages, and DCS infrastructure is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrated experience with cross functional teams and engineering projects.
Analytical approach to defining unit operations and developing process equipment calculations and designs.
Experience working in PSM regulated environment and leading safety reviews.
Fundamental knowledge of continuous and batch chemical operations including reaction, distillation, heat exchange, solids handling, utilities, and process control.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities.
Self‑motivated and capable of working within a fast‑paced environment.
Critical thinking skills and analytical abilities which allow assessment of situations and opportunities to drive decisions.
Exhibits a passion for continuous improvement and problem solving.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
