About The Role We're looking for a resourceful, organized People + Talent Coordinator to help support our scaling People + Talent team at Semgrep. This team is focused on finding exceptional talent while creating an efficient and welcoming environment for everyone at Semgrep, both in our offices and remotely.

As our People + Talent Coordinator, you'll be instrumental in supporting and helping deliver a seamless candidate experience while optimizing our hiring process as we scale. Over the next 3-6 months, you'll own the critical logistics that make great hiring possible - from complex interview scheduling to ensuring every onsite visit runs flawlessly, whether someone's coming in for interviews or their first week at Semgrep. You will thrive in this role if you're intellectually curious, obsess over getting the details right, and genuinely excited about making an immediate impact.

Our expectation is that this role will be based in our San Francisco office 5 days/week for the duration of the contract. Prior experience in a fast-paced, tech environment is helpful, but we are more interested in your organizational skills and learning velocity than your pedigree. So if this opportunity excites you but you don't meet the exact requirements, apply anyway!

What You’ll Do

Coordinate onsite visit logistics - from candidate interview days to new hire onboarding visits - ensuring every detail is handled and every person feels welcomed

Own end-to-end interview scheduling, coordinating complex logistics across multiple time zones while managing last-minute changes with grace

Serve as the primary onsite point person for visiting candidates and new hires, greeting arrivals, managing room logistics, and troubleshooting any day-of needs

Source and engage passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter and other platforms, building initial pipelines for priority roles

Maintain data integrity in our ATS (Ashby), ensuring accurate tracking and timely candidate communications throughout the hiring process

Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to continuously improve our processes and create exceptional in-person experiences

You Are Ideal for This Role If You Have Need-to-Have Requirements

1+ years of experience in recruiting coordination, HR support, administrative support, or operations roles where details matter

Exceptional organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously

Strong problem-solving abilities and the intellectual curiosity to learn new systems quickly

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with candidates and executives alike

Experience with scheduling tools (Google Calendar) and the ability to quickly master new software platforms

Ability to be onsite in our SF office 5 days/week to support visits and interviews

Nice-to-Have Requirements

Experience with applicant tracking systems (Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever, etc.)

Familiarity with sourcing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter

Background in tech startups or high-growth environments

Experience coordinating multi-day onsite events or complex visit logistics

Genuine excitement about learning the full recruiting lifecycle

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $35 per hour

What We Offer Our goal is to competitively and fairly compensate every Semgrep employee with a system that equally rewards those who are vocal and those who are less comfortable making demands during the final steps of the hiring process. To that end, we generate internal compensation bands that are used when discussing and negotiating salaries. We update these based on market data to make sure they’re above the average for comparable roles.

We also invest in our employees’ well-being and long term success with comprehensive health plans, generous vacation time, 401k, learning stipends, and more. Our benefits are for everyone, so that you’re taken care of, and we work with individuals to make sure they have what they need, whether that’s quiet work space, adjusted hours, or something else.

Who We Are We have people from France and the Philippines, physics and philosophy, formal methods research and full fledged corporations. We’re new parents and new grads, aspiring authors and aspiring Americans, dog lovers and dogfooders. We get together often to bike, bake, and meet up in parks. In our interactions, we believe respect and honesty go hand in hand, and prioritize both.

Semgrep is an equal-opportunity employer seeking a diverse range of backgrounds. We value who you are — including your cultural heritage, your socioeconomic status, your age, your race, your gender, your sexual orientation, your disabilities. We value what’s vitally important to you — your family, your religion, your politics. We value what you love in this world — your music, your weekend pursuits. We believe in welcoming varied professional backgrounds, educations, and interests. If you’re exceptional in your role, believe in Semgrep’s mission, and treat Semgrep’s values as your own, you belong here.
