Head of Wealth – Mergers and Acquisitions Join Equitable in leading the growth of our Wealth Management portfolio through strategic M&A. As Head of Wealth M&A, you will define acquisition strategy, source and negotiate deals, and collaborate with senior leadership to execute transactions that drive long‑term value.

About The Role Equitable is seeking a strategic and results‑driven leader to serve as Head of Wealth Mergers & Acquisitions within our Corporate Development team. This role is central to advancing Equitable’s growth strategy by leading all aspects of M&A activity in the Wealth Management segment—from market analysis and deal origination to negotiation and execution.

What You’ll Be Doing

M&A strategy: Develop and implement the WM M&A strategy; support broader enterprise M&A initiatives.

Strategic planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to define and refine the firm’s M&A goals in alignment with long‑term growth objectives.

Market mapping: Build a view of the target market across the broker‑dealer and RIA landscape, including segment priorities, geographic opportunities, and acquisition themes.

Competitive intelligence: Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform target selection and deal timing.

Deal origination: Proactively source opportunities across the WM landscape, including target identification, relationship development, and outbound outreach.

Deal execution: Lead all transaction processes, including process management, financial modeling, diligence coordination, negotiation, and deal tracking.

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.

7+ years of transaction‑related experience (buy‑side and sell‑side), ideally in investment banking or corporate development.

Minimum 2 years of Wealth Management transaction experience required.

Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and presentation skills; proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and S&P Market Intelligence.

Strong understanding of economics, finance, accounting, and Wealth Management trends; experience in Retirement and Asset Management preferred.

Compensation & Benefits The total targeted compensation range for this position is $440 K – $447 K. Base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short‑term incentive compensation opportunities are available. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.
