A client of AlphaStaffHCM is seeking a Senior MEP Engineer to join their growing team. The firm continues to expand across multiple locations and is known for delivering high-quality mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system designs. In this role, you will lead discipline‑specific building system work, guide junior team members, and collaborate with cross‑functional partners to produce coordinated, high‑performing facilities. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of project types while contributing to a team culture built on accuracy, problem solving, and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

Take the lead on mechanical, electrical, or plumbing system design from early concepts through final documentation.

Prepare technical drawings and calculations related to HVAC, power distribution, lighting, water, waste, or similar systems depending on your expertise.

Work closely with other engineering disciplines to deliver coordinated and integrated designs.

Review plans, specifications, and deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance with codes.

Manage workload and support project timelines by communicating effectively with project managers and client teams.

Provide mentorship and day to day technical support to junior engineers and designers.

Use Revit and AutoCAD regularly to contribute to design and documentation efforts.

Required Qualifications

Active Professional Engineer license or eligibility to transfer to Texas (highly preferred)

Six or more years of experience designing building systems within an engineering or MEP focused environment.

Background supporting projects in sectors such as healthcare, education, hospitality, or commercial buildings.

Recent hands‑on experience in Revit and AutoCAD.

Experience coordinating a multidisciplinary team in the development of integrated design solutions.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work on site full time in Dallas, TX.

Compensation and Perks

Competitive salary range of $100,000–$185,000 depending on discipline and experience.

Half‑day Fridays year‑round.
