Department: FACILITIES MANAGEMENT - BUILDING MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE
Location: Macomb, IL
Responsibility Employees at this level perform skilled work in the maintenance, repair and minor installation of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, electrical, mechanical laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, and other related equipment. This employee also coordinates and supervises the work activities of Building Operating Engineers.
WORK LOCATION: Macomb Campus
APPOINTMENT: As soon as possible
HOURLY WAGE: $44.72
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Any one or combination totaling four (4) years (48 months) from the following categories below:
College coursework in mechanical engineering or a closely related field, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional Equivalent:
30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
Work experience in the operation, maintenance, and/or installation of building mechanical equipment, or closely related experience.
For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree‑granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body). The degree must be conferred at the time of application.
