Java Developer (On‑site, United States)
About The Opportunity We are hiring an experienced Java Developer to join an on‑site engineering team building mission‑critical backend services. This role is hands‑on and ideal for a developer who enjoys owning implementation details, improving performance, and shipping production code in an Agile environment.
Role & Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java backend services using Spring Boot and microservices patterns.
Implement robust RESTful APIs and integrations with internal and third‑party systems.
Author efficient SQL, optimise database access, and work with ORMs when appropriate.
Write automated unit and integration tests (JUnit/TestNG) and participate in peer code reviews to enforce quality.
Support CI/CD pipelines, containerized builds, and coordinate deployments to cloud environments.
Collaborate with product owners, QA, and DevOps in Agile ceremonies and mentor junior engineers.
Skills & Qualifications Must‑Have:
Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8+)
Spring Boot
RESTful APIs
Microservices Architecture
SQL
Git
Preferred:
Docker
AWS
Hibernate
Additional Qualifications (brief):
Proven track record delivering production services in an Agile team.
Experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins/GitHub Actions) and build tools (Maven/Gradle).
