Qualifications
U.S. citizenship with an Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree
5+ years of experience developing RUST software with a deep understanding of the language.
Experience with C/C++ development and object‑oriented design.
Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development principles
Expertise in Back‑End Web Development and Programming
Demonstrated experience with Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) and Rust development
Proficiency in designing scalable and efficient software systems
Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work in a team‑oriented environment
Experience with other programming languages and frameworks is a plus (e.g., C++, Python, or Go)
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
Job Description The company’s Integrated Mission Systems is seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in the RUST Programming Language and proven experience developing systems with RUST to guide the next generation of mission‑critical systems.
Responsibilities include guiding adoption of RUST throughout the embedded development, managing integration or conversion of legacy software to RUST, providing best practices and architectural guidance for memory‑safe usage of RUST, developing best practices and implementation guidance, and the translation of requirements into working and maintainable solutions for our C5 and Cyber Solution Centers.
Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role for an expert Rust Software Developer located in the Dallas‑Fort Worth Metroplex. The candidate will design, develop, and maintain high‑performance software and systems using the Rust programming language. Additional responsibilities include assisting in system architecture design, debugging and optimizing code, as well as implementing secure and scalable solutions. Collaboration with cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative software and meet project objectives is a key part of the role.
