Introduction Our client is a privately owned small animal hospital currently hiring for a veterinarian. The hospital primarily treats dogs and cats, with occasional pocket pets such as guinea pigs, rats, mice, and birds.
Schedule and Availability The hospital operates Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Thursday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Saturday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, with Wednesday and Sunday closed. Doctor schedules are flexible, with 4–5 days per week available, and appointment lengths are 20 minutes depending on whether the patient is sick or well. The role is ideally full-time, though part-time may be considered.
Role Description and Responsibilities The position involves full GP responsibilities, caring for pets at all stages of life from puppy and kitten care to end-of-life support. The hospital also provides care for a variety of pocket pets, including rabbits, birds, and lizards, though exotic appointments are limited. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Team The team consists of two full-time veterinarians, one part-time veterinarian, and one veterinarian who specializes in surgery. They are supported by a friendly staff, creating a collaborative and welcoming work environment.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive Base Salary $100k- $130k + (DOE)
