MINIMALLY INVASIVE GYNECOLOGIC SURGEON, DIVISION OF UROGYNECOLOGY & MINIMALLY INVASIVE GYNECOLOGIC SURGERY DEPARTMENT OF OBSTETRICS, GYNECOLOGY AND REPRODUCTIVE SCIENCES UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SAN FRANCISCO The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco seeks a gynecologic surgeon with expertise in minimally invasive techniques for a full-time position.

Responsibilities UCSF Division of Urogynecology & Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery seeks a gynecologic surgeon to join our multidisciplinary team! Primary clinical responsibilities include providing comprehensive, evidence-based, individually tailored treatment for women with complex benign gynecologic conditions and disorders. The faculty role also includes participation in the UCSF Comprehensive Fibroid Center and UCSF Endometriosis Center. Candidates are expected to work in a multidisciplinary setting and lead clinical research projects. Clinical responsibilities will include a consultative office practice in gynecology, office-based procedures, gynecologic surgery and gynecologic on‑call responsibilities. Successful candidates should be comfortable in providing complex surgical care and will be expected to serve as a resource for other gynecologic surgeons within the department. The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate an aptitude for and dedication to medical education, including direct teaching of medical students, residents, fellows, and junior faculty.

Required Qualifications

MD or equivalent

Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Motivated, collaborative surgeon with 2+ years of experience

Candidates must have demonstrated capability and experience in providing evidence‑based and patient‑centered Ob/Gyn care and in collaborating and coordinating care in clinical teams that enhance the patient experience with a commitment to excellence in clinical care, patient safety, and patient satisfaction

Demonstrated cultural competence in working with culturally diverse trainee and patient populations

Knowledge or experience in the provision of minimally invasive gynecology services in an acute hospital setting

Preferred Qualifications

Post‑residency fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery

Licensed or eligible to practice medicine in California, with active CA medical license at the time of hire

Experienced physicians committed to an academic career in minimally invasive surgery will be given preference, but applications from new graduates will also be considered.

Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with experience and achievements. Generous benefits package and pension plan afforded by the University of California system. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. The minimum base salary range for this position is $131,200–$344,400. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan ( https://ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf ) which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. UCSF Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences has a total salary plan that uses National benchmarking standards to set salaries by subspecialty.
