Position: Full-Time Cardiothoracic
Location: Dothan, Alabama
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate full-time Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our well-established, hospital-employed surgical team in Dothan, Alabama. Key Responsibilities
Perform a broad range of cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including open-heart surgeries, valve repairs/replacements, coronary artery bypass grafting, and thoracic surgeries.
Collaborate closely with cardiology, intensive care, and other specialty teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Lead preoperative assessments and postoperative management of patients.
Utilize state-of-the-art facilities, including two endovascular suites, open heart surgical suites, and advanced robotic systems such as the da Vinci.
Provide clinical oversight and supervision for advanced practice providers and surgical staff.
Participate in on-call duties on a shared basis, approximately every third night and weekend.
Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of patient safety and outcomes.
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Board certification or eligibility in Thoracic Surgery (American Board of Thoracic Surgery or equivalent).
Valid medical license to practice in Alabama.
Proven experience in cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Commitment to delivering patient-centered, high-quality care.
