The Global Chief Operations Officer (COO) is the executive leader responsible for directing the organization’s worldwide operations, overall performance, and long-term growth trajectory. This roll with lead end-to-end business operations, ensuring scalable structure and processes, strong quality management systems (QMS), effective IT infrastructure and alignment between Marketing, Sales and operational execution. This role will partner closely with the executive team to translate strategic vision into disciplined execution, sustainable growth and exceptional customer outcomes.

This position is directly accountable for the financial well-being of the U.S. division including the leadership of Legal, Customer Service, IT, Marketing, HR and will lead the Global Operations Team.

This position will require a relocation and on-site presence in the Mountain State region of the U.S.; relocation assistance is provided.

Responsibilities

Lead and optimize global operations to ensure efficiency, scalability, and consistency across regions.

Translate corporate strategy into operational plans, KPIs, and execution roadmaps.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, cost efficiency, and service quality.

Ensure operational readiness across all business functions to support growth and market expansion.

Champion a culture of quality, risk management, and continuous improvement across all functions.

Ensure audit readiness, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and effective governance of quality processes.

Align QMS with business objectives, customer requirements, and global operational standards.

Provide executive oversight of IT strategy, systems, and infrastructure to support global operations.

Ensure secure, scalable, and reliable enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, data platforms, cybersecurity).

Lead digital transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, data visibility, and decision-making.

Partner with IT leadership to ensure technology investments align with business priorities.

Partner with the Head of Sales and Marketing to align go-to-market strategies with operational capabilities.

Drive cross-functional alignment between Marketing, Sales, and Operations to improve lead-to-cash execution.

Support revenue growth through operational excellence, customer experience optimization, and process standardization.

Lead, mentor, and develop global operational leaders across regions and functions.

Establish clear governance, accountability, and performance management frameworks.

Foster a collaborative, data-driven, and results-oriented culture.

Advocate Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvement.

Act as a key advisor to the Global President and Executive Team on operational performance and risk.

Requirements

Proven experience as a COO or senior operational leader within a global Class II medical device organization.

Demonstrated success leading multiple enterprise functions across complex, matrixed environments.

Strong track record of scaling operations across multi-country, highly regulated markets.

Deep expertise in FDA-regulated governance frameworks and global QMS, including audits, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Strong financial and operational acumen, with experience managing budgets, KPIs, and large-scale global P&Ls ($300M+), and driving sustainable revenue growth.

Solid understanding of advanced business planning, regulatory considerations, and risk management.

Data-driven leader with a strong grasp of analytics, performance metrics, and operational reporting.

Proven ability to build, lead, and inspire high-performing global teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, inclusion, and collaboration.

Excellent executive presence, communication skills, and ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and boards.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
