We are seeking a Medical Director to lead our inpatient facility. The Medical Director directs the clinical programs of the organization according to the guidelines established for all staff physicians and mid-levels or individuals with similar training and board certification. Responsible for medical administration and supervision, fiscal management, creating and developing clinically sound, consumer-oriented services in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team.
Essential Functions of the Role
Collaborates with the CEO, CFO, COO, EVP as an integral part of the executive team.
Provides leadership in all areas relating to clinical operations.
Responsible for recommending and implementing clinical policies and procedures.
Leads and directs medical staff and APRNs with responsibility for the administration and coordination of hospital psychiatric services, overseeing and monitoring the quality of psychiatric and medical care provided to all hospitalized patients.
Utilizes DSM‑5 / ICD‑10 terminology and concepts for diagnosis and treatment.
Carries a caseload of up to six (6) patients and provides psychiatric medical call for weekend and evenings in a monthly rotation with other employed physicians.
Education and Experience Requirements
Graduate of an accredited medical school and board‑certified in adult or child psychiatry.
Program development, implementation, and leadership experience of no less than five years in inpatient behavioral health services.
License to practice medicine in the state of Massachusetts.
Active DEA number.
Active physician participant in applicable payor provider panels.
