Develop and communicate documents influencing health care policies adopted by federal agencies.
Manage relationships with policymakers and stakeholders.
Brief stakeholders, AMA leadership, and advocacy colleagues on priorities for federal advocacy.
May include other responsibilities as assigned.
Undergraduate degree required; law degree or master’s degree in public health, business, or political science preferred.
5+ years’ experience working with a member of Congress, federal agencies, consulting/law firms, national health‑care organizations, or national medical specialty societies on federal government health issues.
Expertise regarding Medicare Advantage legislation and regulation required; keen understanding of Medicare Advantage issues.
Demonstrated record of strong teamwork and collaborative skillset, particularly in strategic initiatives.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Salary range: $150,348–$203,082. This is an exempt position.
