What You'll Do
Develop and validate FEA models of components and assemblies using software such as ANSYS or Abaqus.
Perform linear and non‑linear static and dynamic analyses to evaluate stress, strain, and deformation under various loading conditions.
Simulate drop‑test scenarios to assess product robustness and identify potential failure points.
Use FEA results to guide design optimization and improve product performance, reliability, and weight.
Drive correlation of FEA results with physical test data to validate models and improve accuracy.
Prepare clear reports summarizing FEA results and recommendations.
Collaborate with product design, mechanical, and materials engineers.
Develop and maintain scripts and workflows to automate FEA processes.
We would love to consider you for this role if you have:
7+ years of experience as an FEA Engineer, preferably in consumer electronics or wearable devices.
Proficiency with FEA software such as ANSYS or Abaqus.
Strong understanding of solid‑mechanics principles (stress, strain, elasticity, plasticity).
Experience with linear and non‑linear static and dynamic analysis.
Experience with model validation and correlation with test data.
Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Nice To Have
Experience with wearable device or small, complex electronic product FEA.
Transient thermal analysis experience.
Deep knowledge of material properties and failure criteria.
Experience with optimization techniques.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python.
Experience with high‑performance computing (HPC).

SF Region 1: $198,000 – $233,000
SD Region 2: $180,000 – $212,000
