About The Job Google's leadership team hand‑picks thorny business challenges, and members of BizOps work in small teams to find solutions. As part of this team you fully immerse yourself in data collection, draw insight from analysis, and then zoom out to develop compelling, synthesized recommendations. Taking strategy one step further, you also persuasively communicate your recommendations to senior‑level executives, roll‑up your sleeves to help drive implementation and check back‑in to see the impact of your recommendations.

In this Senior Business Data Scientist role you will be one of the key data science leads on the team. Your primary mission will be to help our Global Business Strategy and Operations partners make the best possible decisions using data.

You will own the full data science lifecycle for high‑impact, ambiguous business problems, from initial analysis to strategic recommendation. You will manage a range of high‑impact projects (e.g., applying causal inference, predictive modeling), focusing on foundational Survey Analytics programs and working closely with Strategy and Operations stakeholders who own the end‑to‑end survey processes. You will own the technical infrastructure and advanced analytical roadmap for systems that measure our customer and sales teams ecosystems.

This role requires flexibility to pivot based on evolving business needs. You will act as a level‑headed and proactive leader, helping organizations align and simplify. You will be ready to navigate obstacles, adapt your skills, and push beyond comfort zones to achieve the goals.

Compensation US base salary range: $166,000 – $244,000 (+ bonus, equity, benefits). Salary is determined by role, level, location, and other factors.

Responsibilities

Lead the data infrastructure and analytics of critical survey programs, from designing data pipelines and tooling to executing advanced statistical analysis and generating strategic insights.

Own the full data science lifecycle, applying causal inference, predictive modeling, and descriptive analytics to build frameworks that solve business problems.

Manage ambiguous problems by diving into messy datasets, using SQL, R, and Python to find creative, scalable solutions and build automated data pipelines, BI infrastructure, and dashboards.

Act as a data storyteller and partner, translating findings into compelling narratives that influence and align executive leaders and various teams (Strategy, Product, Engineering).
