Role They are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to serve as the vital conduit between factory floors and the product team. This hands‑on role combines software engineering, systems integration, and customer collaboration to bring full‑factory automation to life. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments—deploying the FactoryOS into real‑world manufacturing systems, solving complex technical challenges, and guiding operators and engineers toward seamless automation. What You’ll Do
Deploy and integrate the FactoryOS into live production environments
Diagnose and solve complex issues across software, hardware, and networks
Develop Python code and new features to meet customer needs
Collaborate on‑site with manufacturing teams to implement solutions
Partner with product and engineering teams to drive product evolution
Advise manufacturers on automation architecture and best practices
Qualifications
Strong Python development and debugging skills
Experience across networks, cloud/on‑prem systems, or industrial tech
Builder mindset with adaptability in fast‑changing settings
Willingness to travel to customer facilities as needed
Bonus: background in robotics, PLCs, MES, IoT, or factory automation
