About The Role As Manager, Merchandise Planning, you will lead the Inventory Management team, bringing financial strategy to life by managing the product as the company’s largest financial asset. You will create financial roadmaps, align product strategy with brand and customer needs, and drive success across one or more product categories. Strong analytical, storytelling, and collaborative skills are essential.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with Merchandising to develop and communicate a comprehensive strategy that aligns future financial and product opportunities by division and department.
Create preseason sales, gross margin, and inventory plans that support product strategies.
Identify risks and opportunities to business and recommend strategies to achieve financial goals.
Present financial forecast and supporting action plans in open to buy meetings.
Develop and communicate department‑level markdown recommendations and strategies, and report financial results and forecasts weekly.
Collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best practices, and build an innovative, results‑oriented environment.
Maintain effective working relationships with cross‑functional teams (Merchandising, Visual, Production, Distribution, Planning, and Company Planning) and share best practices.
Who You Are
Must love Excel and be system savvy.
Build constructive relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners.
Possess strong business acumen and strategic agility, handling multiple projects while prioritizing workload.
Demonstrate strong listening, written, and oral communication skills, presenting ideas that rally others to action.
Assess complex situations, analyze data, make judgments, and recommend solutions.
