Senior DevOps Engineer

Base pay range: $150,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr

As a Senior DevOps Engineer on Voxel’s platform team in San Francisco, you will help build and operate large‑scale cloud and video/ML infrastructure that powers our site intelligence platform. You’ll design, automate, and maintain AWS‑ and Kubernetes‑based systems that support real‑time video analytics, ML pipelines, and edge devices. Your work will directly enable safety and operations leaders at major enterprises to see unseen risks and prevent incidents before they happen. You’ll collaborate closely with software, ML, and product teams, laying the foundation for critical services that our customers depend on, while driving reliability, scalability, and security across the platform.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain cloud infrastructure and distributed systems for data processing, MLOps, and other platform services
Develop and implement DevOps practices to deploy and operate applications in AWS EKS
Build infrastructure‑as‑code modules and workflows using Terraform
Design and develop architectures for running AI workloads on real‑time video at scale
Implement and promote security best practices across the software engineering organization
Requirements
Based in, or able to work on‑site in, the San Francisco Bay Area, California, United States
4+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure and DevOps engineering
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience
Hands‑on production experience with Kubernetes and the broader Kubernetes ecosystem
Professional experience with AWS services including IAM, S3, RDS, and EKS
Professional experience using Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform to provision and manage cloud infrastructure
Preferred Skills
Experience building and scaling high‑availability distributed systems
Experience implementing and operating observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Amazon CloudWatch
Experience supporting ML pipelines, MLOps workflows, or large‑scale video data processing systems
Experience implementing security best practices for cloud‑native, DevOps‑focused engineering teams
