Job Description HPE Networking is a leader in AI-driven, next-generation networking solutions that advance how people live and work. About the Position We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Senior Manager to join the Platform team to lead a bright team of SW engineers. You will be a part of a product development team building high-complexity, high-scale networking platforms. This will include state-of-the-art silicon and platform development, delivering HPE‑Juniper’s next‑generation platforms. Requires working knowledge of designing and validating software for such networking platforms. Should be dynamic, enthusiastic, and self‑driven in a fast‑paced development cycle.

Responsibilities

Drive the execution and delivery of features/products by collaborating with cross‑functional teams, architects, managers and engineers

Assist in bringing up new platforms, owning projects from market requirements, design, code development, to testing, all the way to shipping product

Participate in architecture discussions and project planning

Ensure teams have clear priorities and adequate resources

Provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members

Maintain high morale and motivate engineers to go above and beyond

Make critical decisions that attribute to the success of the product

Occasionally contribute to development tasks such as designing, coding and testing, to gain deep understanding of the technical product as well as to keep your technical acumen sharp

Drive innovation within the team and lead by example

Foster a culture of continuous engineering and process improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics

Minimum Qualifications

MS/BS degree required in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

5+ years of experience, minimum leading successful products and solutions with a distinguished track record

10+ years in high tech industry with work experience in networking and routing domains

4+ years professional experience in platform bring‑up

Strong systems and networking foundational knowledge (systems architecture, ASICs, interfaces, fabric, memory subsystems, WANs, routing)

Thorough knowledge of software development process from requirement analysis to customer support end‑to‑end

Excellent team player with strong product ownership, software development, problem solving and technical writing skills

Proficiency in C/C++ programming and debugging skills, analytical problem solving skills

Knowledge of embedded software

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Works with little guidance and direction

Technical credibility to lead experienced engineering team to make the right design decisions and technology choices

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency on platform bring‑up and able to drive and deliver complex routing platforms

Expert knowledge of embedded systems development concepts, including cross‑platform development and build tools

Proficiency and solid hands‑on experiences on fabric, high‑speed buses, ASIC drivers, PCIe, chassis management, etc.

Understanding of routing and switching technologies

Job Levels and Salary Engineering, Manager_2. Expected salary range: United States of America: Annual Salary USD 183,000 - 370,500 in California.
