Position Reporting directly to the firm’s CFO, the Head of Capital Formation will develop and strategically implement the firm’s capital raising, investor marketing, and investor relations initiatives. The successful candidate will bring an entrepreneurial mindset, proven capital‑raising experience, and deep connections with Ultra High‑Net‑Worth investors, Family Offices, Fund of Funds, and institutional investors nationwide. The role also includes a leadership position on the investment committee, supporting strategic decisions on land acquisitions, development funding, joint ventures, and capital markets activities.

Primary Duties

Develop and execute capital‑raising strategies in collaboration with senior leaders.

Lead production of marketing materials for sales efforts, new fund launches, events, and campaigns.

Build and maintain investor relationships with institutional investors, family offices, pension funds, endowments, and other potential investors.

Track and report investment progress, maintaining accurate records of interactions, commitments, and fund flows.

Coordinate investor material with Asset Management, taking the lead on marketing content development and dissemination.

Monitor market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes impacting commercial real‑estate and capital markets.

Represent the firm at meetings, industry events, and conferences to engage with targeted and existing investors.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (MBA or CPA strongly preferred).

15+ years of experience in real‑estate finance, investment management, or corporate finance, with progressive leadership responsibilities.

Demonstrated success in capital markets, underwriting, and financial stewardship of large‑scale real‑estate projects.

Strong understanding of real‑estate development cycles, master‑planned communities, and mixed‑use asset classes.

Deep knowledge of financial systems, modeling, accounting, and tax structures relevant to development entities.

Proven track record of successfully raising capital from institutional investors, family offices, and high‑net‑worth individuals.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Ability to work effectively and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Strong written and verbal communication, including frequent and effective coordination with individuals and groups via face‑to‑face, telephone, and electronic media.

Willingness to travel for investor and lender meetings, and to conduct property tours as needed.
