Validation Engineer
with strong hands‑on mechanical, inspection, and documentation skills to support validation efforts from prototype development through commercialization and beyond. This role is highly technical and hands‑on, spanning design support, inspection, validation, manufacturing support, and continuous improvement in a regulated environment. Responsibilities – Technical
Support development of parts, assemblies, fixturing, and validation activities Develop test and process fixtures for visual and manual dimensional inspection of a wide variety of parts Create, execute, and document test and measurement protocols, validation plans, and engineering reports Work from and create new engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, diagrams, and written technical descriptions Support manufacturing, process validation, and metrology/cosmetic inspection processes Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities to drive timely resolution Follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently Maintain lab equipment, ensure test areas are organized, and keep supplies stocked Comply with safety protocols, including proper PPE usage and adherence to OSHA standards Immediate Needs — Help Us Move Faster By:
Producing and revising part and assembly CAD models and technical drawings Documenting design decisions, part specifications, and incoming inspection routines/requirements Developing test methods and routines for prototypes and part validation Taking measurements, performing inspection, and testing parts and assemblies Drive continuous improvement after initial product release Revise and update models, drawings, and specifications Revise and update incoming inspection requirements Support non‑conformance investigations, including measurement and testing Develop and maintain dimensional incoming inspection routines and review vendor inspection data Perform failure analysis and support design improvements based on manufacturing and customer feedback Experience
5+ years
in an engineering role with hands‑on mechanical or similar experience Associate degree , trade school, military technical training, or equivalent practical experience Experience creating and revising CAD models, assemblies, and technical drawings SolidWorks highly preferred Experience drafting and editing manufacturing documentation (WI, MPI, protocols, etc.) Hands‑on experience in manufacturing, process validation, metrology, and/or cosmetic inspection Experience using inspection and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height/pin/feeler gauges) Experience operating and/or programming CMM, OMM, or similar inspection systems Experience with statistical software (Minitab, JMP, etc.); Gage R&R experience a plus Proficiency with mechanical fabrication tools (drill presses, saws, mills, hand tools, power tools) Knowledge & Skills
Solid understanding of GD&T principles Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Skilled in CAD software; SolidWorks preferred Knowledge of developing, implementing, and qualifying injection molding processes Broad understanding of state‑of‑the‑art injection molding practices Strong understanding of DFM/DFA principles for high‑volume manufacturing Comprehension of design control principles, including verification and validation Familiarity with regulated industries (medical device, diagnostics, pharmaceutical, or similar) Knowledge of Gage R&R and other validation processes Why This Role
