Staff Data Scientist
Overview
Intuit is harnessing the power of generative AI to transform how customers interact with financial services. We are seeking a Staff Data Scientist to partner closely with product, engineering, design, and data science teams to drive insights, define success metrics, and enable data-informed decisions for our AI Agents initiative. This role is critical in ensuring that our AI Agents are intelligent, trustworthy, and impactful for millions of customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
Partner with product management, product development, research and design teams to define the data science roadmap for Intuit AI Agents, ensuring alignment with Intuit’s overall AI strategy.
Translate business problems and requirements into analytical approaches and develop measurement frameworks to help the team assess performance of a 0 to 1 product.
Define, track, and evolve success metrics for AI Agent performance, customer adoption, and engagement.
Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform product and strategy decisions.
Lead deep‑dive analyses of product usage, customer behavior, and AI agent interactions to uncover opportunities for improvement.
Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests and experiments to measure feature effectiveness.
Develop dashboards and self‑service tools to democratize data access and empower teams.
Influence product roadmaps and strategy by presenting data‑driven recommendations to leadership.
Mentor analysts across the organization, fostering best practices in analytics and storytelling.
Partner with data engineering to ensure reliable pipelines and robust data governance for AI agent data.
Advocate for data quality, consistency, and accessibility across platforms.
Qualifications
5–7 years of experience working in product analytics.
Highly proficient in A/B testing, SQL, Python, and Tableau. Working knowledge of Amplitude or QlikSense is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills: able to develop and use structured approaches to identify root causes and recommend resolutions; able to present results in meaningful terms.
Ability to narrate complex stories with data and be concise in the insights and how they drive outcomes with leadership and stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives and deadlines.
Proactive and inquisitive learner, seeking out and capitalizing on opportunities for change that enhance the business, rather than reacting to circumstances.
Strong organizational skills, time management, portfolio prioritization experience, and accountability required.
Compensation Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay‑for‑performance rewards approach. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits. Pay is based on factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
Bay Area (California): $186,500–252,000
Southern California: $179,000–242,000
