We are looking for a Vice President (VP) for our Private Markets division of the Alternative Investment Solutions Group. The VP will partner with clients and colleagues to establish workflows and deadlines, supervise staff, and deliver reporting, day‑to‑day accounting, and support to our clients.
Responsibilities
Supervise lower‑level staff (Associate 1, Associate 2, Senior Staff, Officer, and AVP).
Manage client relationships with client personnel and fund investors.
Review quarterly and annual financial work‑paper packages including portfolio schedules, accruals, and PCAP allocations.
Review quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes.
Prepare annual tax work‑paper packages and financial statements.
Prepare capital calls, distributions, notices, and release merged documents.
Review monthly bank reconciliations and post journal entries.
Calculate quarterly management fees.
Prepare various client‑related correspondence.
Coordinate with the database team on client deliverables such as financial statements, capital calls, and distribution notices.
Maintain daily client interaction.
Coordinate annual audit and tax return preparation with Big 4 accounting firms.
Prepare waterfall and capital account allocations and understand limited partnership agreements.
Prepare estimated tax workpapers.
Maintain relationships with investment professionals, investors, auditors, lawyers, and banking personnel.
Ensure compliance with investment fund legal documents and partnership agreements.
Assist accounting managers in ensuring compliance with investment fund agreements.
Lead special client projects.
Manage internal workflow and client deadlines.
Identify and report any unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity in accordance with corporate policy and guidelines.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
12+ years of general ledger accounting or audit experience.
6+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
Previous financial reporting experience.
Advanced Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
Experience in Real Estate, Hedge Fund, or Private Market accounting.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience with Investran, Great Plains, and Oracle Financials preferred.
Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently to meet client deliverables.
Capacity to handle multiple assignments under pressure.
Salary $115,000 - $201,250 Annual
