Opportunity As a Director, Healthcare Market (HD), you will be a key leader delivering healthcare solutions to customers and their partners. You will work closely with the Executive Director to shape the strategic vision for the ecosystem and engage with healthcare stakeholders. You will lead a diverse team, drive growth, and prioritize patient outcomes, customer satisfaction, and business objectives.
Responsibilities
Deeply understand customer needs to improve patient outcomes, lower costs, and enhance quality of care by building, maintaining, and leveraging networks within the healthcare ecosystem.
Execute the strategic vision set by the Executive Director and assist squads in identifying and executing partnerships that enhance customer experience and deliver business opportunities.
Lead the development and execution of customer account planning for target accounts.
Travel as needed to meet customer needs and attend relevant therapeutic conferences.
Build, lead, and motivate a diverse team, fostering a culture that aligns with Genentech Operating Principles.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
8+ years of work experience, including at least 3 years of field management or marketing experience in commercial life sciences or related industry engaging with key healthcare ecosystem players.
Experience in account management or alliance/partnership management, developing and implementing account plans for health ecosystem players.
Proven track record of coaching, training, or mentoring peers to exceed goals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and relationship management.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree; PharmD, RN, or other HCP an asset.
Background in Pharma and experience in healthcare administration, consulting, CMS or other payers, NIH, NCCN, or HHS.
Strong executive presence and ability to engage with C‑Suite executives.
Relationships in community outreach and engagement organizations in the PNW.
Experience in oncology and other specialty therapeutic areas.
Leadership and performance coaching experience.
Payer & account management experience with regional and national understanding in the ecosystem.
In-depth knowledge of strategy development, contracting strategy, administration, and contract negotiation.
Location & Travel Field based role covering the Seattle/Alaska Ecosystem; preference for candidates residing in the ecosystem. Overnight travel and significant driving are required. The position requires significant driving and prolonged periods of sitting; Genentech may check your motor vehicle record at relevant times.
Compensation & Benefits Expected salary range: $209,900 – $389,900, based on the Greater Seattle Area or Alaska location. Pay will be determined by experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other permissible factors. Eligible for incentive compensation and comprehensive benefits.
