Base pay range $300,000.00/yr - $500,000.00/yr
Managing Director Danforth Advisors is seeking an experienced Managing Director in Boston to lead our largest market, supporting our rapid growth and acting as a trusted partner to hundreds of today’s most promising life science companies. Responsibilities
Business Development:
Develop a business development strategy, identify prospective clients, develop client proposals, negotiate/close deals, and provide services to clients.
Engage client senior executives as a thought partner to understand client needs, differentiate the Danforth brand, and position Danforth value proposition to key decision makers.
Raise awareness and expand visibility of the Danforth brand; promote and differentiate Danforth’s brand and value proposition to clients and potential employees.
Develop key metrics and a mechanism to gather and communicate market trends and intel.
Service Delivery and Client Engagement Management:
Provide operational and/or strategic advisory services.
Ensure top quality service is provided to new and existing clients.
Develop structured plan around client needs and collaborate with Staffing to activate team to deliver solutions.
Provide guidance and oversight to client and deployed consultants and act as resource to client and team to address issues/concerns.
Support recruiting team with interviewing, onboarding, and attracting new consultants.
Mentor consultant team(s) and provide leadership and oversight ensuring a high quality of service and client success.
Coordinate closely with Danforth Staffing team to provide guidance to help match client needs with consultant deployments.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, Science, Management or similar is required; MBA is preferred.
15+ years at the executive level within the Life Sciences with a proven track record of Business Development and Management (Biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device and/or Healthcare Tech).
Working knowledge and experience within institutional investor ecosystem (Private Equity/Venture Capital).
Experience in public, private and startup/growth‑stage companies with a deep understanding of the financial and operational infrastructure of rapidly growing life science organizations.
Experience communicating with executives, scientists, and stakeholders to understand and align the company’s organizational goals for the purpose of developing sophisticated financial and operational solutions that targets life science organizations and their service needs.
Expert in relationship building with the proven ability to generate and increase revenue opportunities with new and existing clients.
General management skills, high EQ, and experience building and leading teams.
