Job Summary As a “Associate Reliability Development Engineer”, you will report to VP of Quality & Reliability with responsibility for ensuring that our ICE platform meets thermal performance along with reliability required lifetime. Specific role will be in the management of ICE (Ionic Cooling Engine) Air Mover Electro-Chemical reliability kinetics. The ionization mechanism that enables the air flow brings along with it some reliability challenges on the Emitter (high voltage) side as well as the Collector (low voltage) side. The mechanical material design, material selection and process control will impact the product reliability directly.
Key Responsibilities
Determination of ICE design, process, material selection to mitigate high voltage reliability issues.
Develop Accelerated Testing methodology and Test-to-Fail failure distributions with respect to high voltage Emitter fouling mechanism.
Cross functional development with hardware mechanical & electrical design functions especially.
Coordinate with Assembly and Test & Suppliers on DFR Design for Reliability and ORT Ongoing Reliability Testing to ensure predictable Manufacturability, Robustness, Change Management.
Contribute to Failure Analysis development and understanding.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience: Proven experience in hardware & software development, particularly in the context of hardware mechanical reliability and robustness development, process control, automation.
Technical Skills
Testing to Failure, Robustness testing.
Data Analysis expertise, especially JMP.
Electro-Chemical mechanisms like Ionization, Battery products experience.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
Knowledge of data acquisition and analysis techniques.
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and reliability.
A proven track record of teamwork and an innovative spirit and curiosity.
