Business Development Manager | Metric Geo | Heavy Civil Construction

Base pay range $125,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
Overview We are partnering with a well-established heavy civil contractor specializing in transportation and bridge infrastructure to recruit a Project Engineer to support the delivery of multiple bridge construction projects across the Bay Area.
This role is ideal for an engineer looking to deepen their experience on complex structural bridge work, gain exposure to large public works projects, and progress toward a Project Manager career path.
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of bridge construction projects, including foundations, substructure, superstructure, and deck scopes
Assist with project planning, scheduling, cost tracking, and quantity takeoffs
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and document control
Coordinate with superintendents, inspectors, designers, and subcontractors
Track material procurement and subcontractor progress
Support cost forecasting, budget updates, and project reporting
Assist with quality control, safety compliance, and Caltrans/DOT documentation
Participate in constructability reviews and preconstruction planning
Required Experience & Qualifications
2–7 years of heavy civil construction experience, preferably on bridge or transportation projects
Exposure to bridge structures (piles, footings, columns, decks, girders, falsework, etc.)
Experience working on public works / Caltrans / DOT projects strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Strong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced, field-driven environment
Proficiency with construction software (Procore, Primavera, or similar preferred)
