THE ROLE The Principal, Visual Design leads the creative team to deliver transformative, best‑in‑class solutions across retail, websites, branding, and content. Your vision will drive strategy, challenge conventional thinking, and establish new benchmarks for visual and conceptual design excellence. This hybrid role is based in Mountain View, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams of talented people.
Lead and mentor the creative team, fostering a collaborative, optimistic, and proactive culture.
Bring fresh, insightful ideas that inspire both internal teams and client partners, with the client’s success at the forefront.
Define and implement high‑standard design strategies, including guidance for all visual assets.
Generate strategic insights and moodboards to facilitate creative innovation.
Drive complex digital projects from kick‑off to completion, meeting client expectations while staying within budget and deadlines.
Establish project direction, craft guidelines, and support production as needed.
Build and maintain relationships with key client decision‑makers and collaborate across internal and external stakeholders.
Contribute to the design discipline through mentoring, dialogue, and ideas that elevate company operations and improve processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of proven experience in design and interaction work for leading brands, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Mastery of Figma (components, variants, auto‑layout) and familiarity with collaboration tools (HubSpot, Google Suite, Slack).
Strong knowledge of visual design, user‑centered experience design, interaction design, and brand development, with a track record of creating and maintaining robust design systems.
Demonstrated ability to provide strategic vision and creative inspiration to large, diverse teams.
Excellent public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex information to clients and stakeholders.
Highly detail‑oriented, proactive, comfortable navigating complex organizations, and focused on strategic problem‑solving and process efficiency.
