- Provide customer service to clients at government locations by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, supporting emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for employees, visitors, and the public.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Observe and report any suspicious activities and/or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Support access control measures by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and assisting visitors as needed.
- Maintain detailed records and logs of activities, incidents, and/or unusual observations during patrols.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as required, following established protocols for government facilities.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
