Accounting Manager

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounting Manager to join their dynamic Asset Management team. As part of a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, you will lead critical financial reporting, oversee team activities, and implement process enhancements, all while working towards a greener future. Compensation: $40.00-50.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings for corporate and project entities, including journal entry approval, account reconciliation, and preparation of key financial statements.
  • Oversee the performance and development of staff and senior accountants, managing recruitment, onboarding, cross‑training, daily oversight, and performance evaluations.
  • Contribute to the creation of annual budgets and monitor budget versus actual variances across all projects on a regular basis.
  • Coordinate ERP upgrade projects by collaborating with external consultants and internal departments to optimize financial processes and improve scalability.
  • Design and establish procedures for new business activities, ensuring alignment with relevant accounting standards and best practices.
  • Partner with the Asset Management team to supervise invoice processing, deposits, collections, and key performance indicators reporting.
  • Collaborate with external auditors by preparing documentation, addressing queries, and supporting the financial statement and footnote preparation process.
  • Generate ad hoc financial reports and analyses to support management decision‑making.

Requirements:

  • 3‑4 years of experience in public accounting or 5‑6 years of private sector accounting preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) with research skills to resolve complex accounting issues.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with accounting teams, executives, and cross‑departmental staff.
  • Hands‑on experience with accounting software; proficiency in NetSuite highly desirable.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Critical thinking, proactive problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and computer literacy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
