As an Expert Quantum Hardware Engineer , you will be part of Eniquantic . Specifically, you will be responsible for the construction and assembly of a quantum computer based on arrays of optically trapped single atoms, and the development of innovative experimental techniques for implementing new quantum computing protocols with neutral atoms. Main activities Conception, design and development of innovative hardware solutions based on arrays of neutral Rydberg atoms trapped in optical tweezers for quantum computing Construction and assembly of components of the experimental apparatus, and testing of the complete machine Carrying out experimental research aimed at studying and implementing quantum computing protocols through the manipulation of atomic qubits Collaboration with engineering teams to develop electronics and software for device control and timing, and high‑efficiency and stable optical systems. Required characteristics Master's Degree in Physics or Physical Engineering PhD in Physics or related subjects - strongly recommended; other qualifications may be considered if significant experience in the field is present At least 3 years - including any doctorate - of experience in research and development activities in the field of quantum technologies or related subjects Experience in the use of optical and electro‑optical instrumentation and in the design and implementation of free‑space and/or fiber optical systems for quantum computation and/or simulation experiments Experience in the use of low‑noise, high spectral purity single‑frequency laser sources Experience with experimental techniques based on neutral Rydberg atoms for quantum computing (preferred requirement) Experience in the use of two‑electron atomic species, in particular ytterbium, for quantum technology applications (preferred requirement) Experience in the construction of ultra‑high vacuum (UHV) apparatus for quantum computation and/or simulation experiments (preferred requirement) Knowledge of experimental atomic physics and experience in the use of laser cooling and trapping techniques of atoms, coherent manipulation of quantum states with electromagnetic radiation and high‑resolution imaging of atomic systems Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams with autonomy and proactivity Excellent knowledge of the English language Availability to travel.
