Cath Lab Tech Currently seeking qualified Cath Lab Tech candidates to staff full-time, day shift contracts at a hospital located in Kokomo, Indiana.
1.5+ years of recent and related experience is required.
Current pay is $61 per hour. Benefits for the Cath Lab Tech Flexible schedule Weekly pay Bonus opportunities Healthcare premium reimbursements (for qualifying FT employees) Responsibilities of the Cath Lab Tech Assist cardiologists and other medical team members in performing cardiac catheterization procedures to diagnose and treat cardiac conditions. Prepare and maintain the cath lab, ensuring all equipment and supplies are stocked and functioning properly. Set up, and operate specialized imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, angiography, and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) Machines. Position and prepare patients for procedures, assist with explaining the process, and address any patient concerns to maximize patient comfort. Follow infection control policies and procedures, and maintain sterile fields/techniques to maximize patient safety. Monitor vital signs and cardiac status throughout procedures alerting medical staff to any abnormalities or complications. Assist the medical team in case of emergencies or necessary interventions. Ensure proper administration of medications or contrast agents as directed by the cardiologist. Assist with insertion and manipulation of catheters and other devices during procedures. Timely and accurate documentation of patient care and procedures in an electronic medical record. Participate in any necessary education to maintain compliance. within the state of Indiana 1.5 years of recent and related experience, as required by the facility Must be able to work independently, yet together as part of a team Must be able to remain calm under pressure Proficient at taking vital signs and administering medication accordingly Active BLS, ACLS, physical, TB test, and other medical compliance as required by the facility.
