Applied Technology Services (ATS) is seeking a Data Warehouse Developer - ETL. This position will:
Support the Data Analytics Team in retrieving data from multiple data systems for use in data extracts, reports, and dashboards to ensure data quality before release.
Create, execute, and monitor ETL processes including tracking and documenting findings.
Create test scripts using SQL programming to validate data points against transactional systems and the data warehouse.
Create documentation needed to support repeatability of testing metrics.
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of software development best practices.
At least five years of experience in ETL methodologies and development.
Degree from an accredited college with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Services, Business Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business or Public Administration, Communications or a related field. Relevant software development experience of 5 or more years may substitute for formal education.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the Data Warehouse based on business and technology requirements and industry standard best practices.
Collaborate with SOL Server DBAs, system architects, and application developers to design stable, reliable, and optimized databases.
Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems.
Assist in the formulation of business and testing requirements.
Develop high-quality deliverables.
Follow all required software development standards, change control procedures, and security requirements.
Ensure databases meet organizational and performance requirements.
Build relationships with project sponsors, stakeholders, other technical staff, vendors, and end users.
Coordinate and perform unit, system, and performance testing.
Participate in User Acceptance testing and issue resolution.
Identify and analyze process improvements for continuous enhancement.
Produce status reports and communications regularly.
Required Skills:
3+ years of SSIS experience.
Experience with Azure SQL Instance.
Proficiency in SQL Server scripting.
Knowledge of data modeling.
Skill in the operation of computers and peripherals.
Creative and analytical problem-solving skills.
Understanding of Data Warehousing principles, concepts, and architecture.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
Effective requirement analysis and management.
Ability to visualize complex issues.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Knowledge of programming concepts and the SDLC.
Ability to coordinate team efforts across units.
