Job Purpose:
Focuses on offering the Total Package to SwapLoader distributors and end users. This includes value added base equipment, installation packages, supporting equipment, equipment packages and services. Emphasis for this position is on the application and support side as technical partner with sales and distribution but will include defining, sourcing, and engineering new SwapLoader offerings. Works independently to plan, organize, & schedule own workload within established guidelines. Is a business partner with other SwapLoader team members, acts as a technical advisor during sales presentations and provides training, orientation, and educational services to increase the overall awareness of the SwapLoader product line. Provide a complete technical offering to distributors, customers and SwapLoader Regional Sales Managers on product application and integration. This will include providing application and engineering expertise on product selection, hydraulics, and truck specifications for installation of new product. Develop and maintain expert level knowledge on installations, keep current on truck specifications including transmissions, engines, and installation challenges. New install support will also include development of custom equipment for fleet adaption, truck layout drawings and weight distributions. Post - Sale Support.
This will include but is not limited to, providing technical expertise regarding maintenance, service parts, and trouble shooting. New Revenue Generating Products.
Cradle to grave product and service development: definition to market release. Examples include supporting equipment such as PTOs, pumps, controls, fenders, bumpers, lights, tarps, toolboxes, bodies etc. This may also include value added features to hooklift models and engineering of new core product lines. Other Duties.
Assist with the development and maintenance of educational tools to support the SwapLoader Regional Sales Managers, distributors, and end users. This includes, but is not limited to, the development and maintenance of field sales books, power point presentations, bid specifications, parts and operation manuals, installation manuals and technical documents. Qualifications Bachelor of Engineering degree, plus minimum of 2 years of related experience. Experience in the truck equipment or heavy equipment industry a plus. Excellent oral/written communication, organizational, problem-solving and relationship-building skills required. Must be proficient AutoCAD or Inventor, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Must be able to prioritize, adapt to changes in daily tasks when necessary, and work under pressure. Must be self-motivated, creative, and possess good listening skills. Must have the ability to present ideas and communicate effectively to individuals and groups while working independently and maintaining confidentiality.
