The Vice President of Marketing & Communications (VPMC) oversees strategies for marketing, communications, and ministry partner experience. This role is responsible for enhancing East-West’s brand, attracting and serving ministry partners, and leading public relations, communications, and brand development efforts. Success is measured by audience growth and revenue goals established with the EVP of Development. The VPMC collaborates with other departments to ensure brand consistency and achievement of organizational goals, aligning all efforts with East-West’s Vision, Mission, Values, Statement of Faith, and Biblical principles. As a faith ambassador rooted in Biblical principles, the VPMC will actively minister to leadership, staff, partners, and the community, exemplifying Christ-character through personal and corporate spiritual disciplines. Growing Visibility Enhance credibility of the East-West brand and position leadership as missions thought-leaders. Manage external consultants in public relations, communications, and marketing technology. Monitor market trends and opportunities. Marketing Develop and implement marketing strategies to expand reach. Coordinate messaging with leadership to promote East-West’s vision and mission. Analyze key metrics and optimize campaigns to meet objectives. Revenue Create and execute strategies supporting revenue growth through communication channels. Ensure accurate and timely information on ministry activities for revenue-related communication. Use systems to track and analyze revenue growth and campaign effectiveness. Ministry Partner and External Audience Experience Design engagement journeys for donors and external audiences. Organize impactful events and gather feedback for continuous improvement. Communications and Brand Management Support brand development and oversee digital presence. Manage communication standards and calendar. Review all external messages and align with organizational branding. Team Management Lead and develop the Marketing and Communications team. Provide performance feedback and foster a collaborative environment. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in relevant field required; master's preferred. 5-10 years in marketing, communications, or public relations. At least 5 years in senior management roles. Experience in ministry/nonprofit settings is highly desirable. Skills and Abilities Leadership, strategic thinking, and data analysis skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in marketing technologies and Google Workspace. Ability to travel domestically and internationally. Mission Alignment Commitment to East-West’s core values, vision, and faith principles.
