We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to join our Studios Technology team in Culver City, CA, defining and building our Production & Post Technology product suite that supports our creative and production partners. In this role, you will collaborate with product, design, applied science, software engineering teams and key stakeholders — including Production, Post Production, Operations, Finance and more — to build, implement, and scale critical software solutions that power and inform our Studios' Production, Post‑Production, VFX, and Virtual Production workflows.

Key job responsibilities

Create a comprehensive testing environment that includes test plans and all necessary media assets (i.e. OCF footage, editorial cuts, Avid and Resolve timelines and LUTs)

Develop training materials that guide team members through the use of the creative tools and testing procedures.

Collaborate on solutions to deliver program defined goals with a focus on flexibility, visibility, and measurable results driven outcomes

Collaborate on research, user data analysis, and roadmap development/maintenance of key product features

Collaborate with Strategy, UX, Engineering, and Vendor teams on the build out, testing, and validation of product features

Collaborate on discovery sessions with customers and internal technical teams to ensure customer needs are met as part of product build out and prioritization

Collaborate on definition, review/enhancement, and enforcement of team and program related processes and definitions that promote data focussed decision making, transparency, and increased team efficiency

Collaborate with Product, UX, Engineering, and Vendor teams on ensuring timely build out/delivery of defined product milestones

Creation of milestone based project plans and measurements of success

Track, elevate, and mitigate risks, issues, action items, and key program decisions

Create, define, revise, and enhance user flows and requirements/stories for development of key functional and technical features related to the product

Create and update key documentation and status reporting

Facilitate change management activities related to product feature introductions to end users and customers

Store key deliverables in easily accessible and visible repositories

Promote transparency and collaboration with key customers, vendors, and other internal Amazon teams

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of technical product or program management experience

3+ years of software development experience

5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design

Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
