Key Responsibilities
Lead the integration, testing, and verification of systems and subsystems for the NG9-1-1 program.
Coordinate integration efforts between Public Safety IT subsystems and the core NG9-1-1 system.
Facilitate technical integration planning discussions and manage ensuing action items.
Collaborate with project leads and subcontractors to review all required NG9-1-1 system interfaces.
Develop test cases for System Acceptance Testing (SAT) and System Integration Testing (SIT); identify integration risks; and assist teams in configuring and testing interfaces in the Systems Development Environment (SDE).
Validate all interfaces in production and support the test team in executing end-to-end System Integration testing.
Mandatory Requirements
12+ years of direct experience in technical integration and/or relevant business applications.
Expert understanding of OSI Layers 1-7, with emphasis on Layer 3 routing and Layer 4-7 services.
Proven experience integrating systems in multi‑vendor environments (e.g., MSCI, NICE, Motorola, Cisco).
Knowledge of NG911 Core Services (NGCS) integration points (ESRP, ECRF/LVF, CHS).
Strong diagnostic skills using Wireshark, packet capture, syslog, and SNMP for end-to-end troubleshooting.
Experience with call flow validation, routing testing, and production cutover support.
Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks: NIST 800‑53, CJIS, and OTI Cyber Command.
Hands‑on experience implementing IPsec VPNs, SSL/TLS encryption, and RBAC.
Knowledge of network segmentation, firewall rule management, and IDS/IPS.
Desirable Skills & Experience
Familiarity with Public Safety Answering Center (PSAC) infrastructure and redundancy.
Understanding of incident escalation, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
In‑depth knowledge of NENA i3 architecture and its components.
Knowledge of standards for multimedia call processing: ESRP, LIS, LoST, ECRF/LVF, and SIPREC.
Experience working with PSAPs, CAD systems, logging, and GIS components within a 911 environment.
