Objective The Store Manager is a true business owner for their store. They are responsible for leading, managing and continuously developing all aspects of their store's business. They are accountable for creating and maintaining a positive and highly productive work environment that aligns with the company's mission. They will be responsible for consistently achieving sales & profitability goals, operational objectives, merchandising standards and developing a highly successful Sales, Operations, and Visual team.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the store’s retail strategies.

Leverage local market knowledge, client base and brand competitors.

Monitor business trends that impact the store’s success.

Use KPI data to drive business strategies.

Lead the team with company tools, incentives & strategies to meet sales goals.

Ensure the store team reflects ALO’s mission and principles to guests.

Develop an environment of growth, accountability and inclusivity through coaching, training and performance management.

Conduct talent analysis and establish career progression plans for key players to retain talent and reduce turnover.

Build internal & external pipelines through succession planning and recruitment strategy.

Oversee Sales & Service, Operations, and Visual Managers to execute key strategies.

Support execution of key operational and visual guidelines.

Champion visual standards for the salesfloor using business performance data.

Support a safe work environment and efficient operation.

Develop schedules delivering business results while maintaining labor effectively.

Collaborate with cross‑functional business partners to support organizational goals.

Serve as an ALO ambassador and create a culture aligning with our mission.

Navigate the organization balancing business needs and brand culture.

Implement effective communication strategies throughout store to achieve goals and KPIs.

Qualifications

5+ years of retail or related industry leadership experience.

Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Highly motivated to drive business in a fast‑paced, innovative environment.

Strong independent work ethic, time management and accountability.

Aligns with and embodies ALO’s Guiding Principles.

Business owner mindset with entrepreneurial spirit.

Constant movement in and around all areas of store.

Ability to lift, push, carry or otherwise move up to 50 lbs.

Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl and twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder.

Ability to stand and move for an entire shift.

Schedule Full‑time employees have open availability and variable shifts including peak days and weekends. Employees are expected to work during the company’s Blackout period from the week of American Thanksgiving through the end of the holiday season (first week of January).

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay $75,000–$90,000 per year.

Eligible for Monthly Store Incentive, potentially increasing total compensation.
