Senior Project Engineer - Building, Marine, Port
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Overview Experience managing/designing/constructing Building, Marine, and/or Port Projects.
Minimum Required Qualifications
BS degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years experience as Project Engineer or 8 years as Senior Project Engineer in similar position.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in fast‑paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
Experience working on building, marine, or port projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certification, such as Professional Engineer‑in‑training (EIT) and/or Certified Construction Manager‑in‑training (CMIT).
Required Experience
Provides technical skills and coordination support.
Conducts field checks and site walks to verify compliance with construction documents and SOPs.
Assists in preparing written materials, including correspondence, reports, procedures, and guidelines.
Develop monthly project status reports for all assigned active construction projects.
Assist in the review of construction payment applications, change orders, and construction field orders.
Reviews project risks and coordinates with the construction manager to develop project status reports.
Facilitate resolutions related to design and field issues.
Assist with review of the accurate responses to requests for information (RFI) and submittals.
Assist in the preparation of project meeting agendas, facilitate project meetings, and prepare meeting minutes.
Assist in coordination of third‑party agencies.
Coordinate construction activities with contractors and other agencies.
Maintain logs (RFI, Submittal, Change Orders, etc.) and construction project records/documentation.
Other job‑related duties or projects as assigned.
