Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – General Med Surg – 36 Hours – Rotating Days/Nights

Location:
Med Surg – General Med Surg Unit, M6E, Boston, MA Schedule:
36 hours per week (rotating days, nights, every other weekend and holiday)
Position Summary:
As an RN on the Medical Surgical unit you will deliver exceptional patient care within a patient‑centered model. You will collaborate with the inter‑professional team, document and interpret data, and support quality improvement initiatives.
Deliver nursing care in the Medical Surgical unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and patient education
Communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team
Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter‑professional colleagues
Update and manage patient records; enter and interpret computerized data/information
Follow BMC nursing organization guidelines and policies
Assist leadership in quality improvement projects as needed
Job Requirements:
Licensed registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
1+ year RN experience preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for certain units
Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN, or BSN preferred; BSN within 4 years
Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty; certification required for certain practice areas
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
Basic computer proficiency; fluency in another language a plus

Compensation Range:
$38,050 – $75,330 per annum
