AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, keeping the cloud running by supporting AWS data centres and the associated equipment. The Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team manages construction activity within operational data centre spaces, focusing on critical infrastructure improvement projects that optimise space, power, and cooling. Responsibilities Serve as a technical resource within Amazon data centres. Oversee projects and review all disciplines including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural. Coordinate, implement, execute, control and complete projects ensuring consistency with company strategy and goals. Identify areas for improvement and act on data from other teams and organisations. Design, develop and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges. Prioritise activities to support data centre capacity availability and safety, focusing on the most impactful actions. Work on projects locally and globally with multidisciplinary teams.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of construction or project management experience. 5+ years managing projects in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure in an operational space. 5+ years in on?site construction trades (mechanical, electrical, general). Vendor management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
BA/BS in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or similar technical focus. 5+ years experience in the technical field of power distribution and data centre mechanical cooling systems. Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade?offs, incorporate feedback and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with a variety of stakeholders. Significant experience successfully delivering results in a fast?paced, dynamic environment. Proven track record for being detail?oriented with a demonstrated ability to self?motivate and follow?through on projects.
