Job Summary
Operating Room Registered Nurse – Contract (Brooklyn, NY)
Compensation Base pay range: $60.00/hr - $65.00/hr (provided by Pride Health). Actual pay will be based on skills and experience; discuss with recruiter.
Roles & Responsibilities
Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, cognitive, and cultural diversity of the patient.
Determines mobility, sensory deficits, prostheses use, and skin condition and adjusts plan of care, as appropriate.
Supervises and directs patient care in the operating suite while ensuring proper techniques are used.
Maintains count on sponges, needles and other instruments used in the operating room.
Collaborates with physician and other clinical disciplines in planning interventions to meet patient and family needs.
Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years’ experience in an Operating Room setting.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required.
New York State RN License and BLS certification required.
