Senior Actuary – Programs Pricing – REMOTE

Overview As a key member of the Finance team, you will drive actuarial excellence across delegated authority verticals, delivering innovative pricing solutions and supporting cross‑functional business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of actuarial students and fellows, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing environment.
Provide comprehensive actuarial support, including profitability reviews, trend analysis, rate change monitoring, and mix shift monitoring.
Drive program business through innovative ventures and reinsurance strategies, enhancing business results.
Collaborate with internal business partners and engage in external interactions to achieve organizational goals.
Serve as technical expert of actuarial methodologies, sourcing and manipulating data to support strategic vision.
Conduct complex analyses adhering to actuarial standards, developing recommendations that influence broad strategic vision.
Document assumptions, methods, sources and considerations in an organized fashion.
Create cohesive presentations and recommendations for technical and non‑technical audiences at the OCFO leadership level.
Represent the company's position with regulators, auditors and external vendors, negotiating within defined parameters.
Strategically develop and oversee multiple work plans, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of products.
Lead the peer review process, driving cross‑functional collaboration and implementing quality improvements.
Build strategic business relationships at all levels to drive solution delivery.
Identify skill gaps and develop training materials to develop associates’ skills for future business needs.
Advise on strategic data mining techniques and recommend data and software packages that drive strategic vision of P&C actuarial and business success.
Consult and provide expert advice on new or enhanced product development opportunities, including data needs, coding implications and viability and profitability assessments.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Must‑Have Skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Preferred Skills
Proficiency in Excel, R, Python, Tableau, Power BI, and SQL.
Experience in reinsurance.
Leadership skills to manage direct reports and improve business outcomes.
Experience with MGA/MGU programs is advantageous.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, data science or a related field.
Actuarial designation required (FCAS or equivalent).
Eight or more years of actuarial experience, including leadership practice.
Expert knowledge of actuarial business functions, statistical methods, models, software and databases; knowledge of company operations, products, systems and actuarial methodologies.
Mastery of Microsoft Office products, analytical software and programming languages.
Reporting Relationships Reports directly to the Actuarial Leader.
Job Conditions Overtime Eligibility: Exempt (Not Eligible).
Working Conditions: Normal office environment.
