Key Technical Skills
C/C++:
Analyze, understand, and refactor complex codebases.
MongoDB:
Schema design, data migration, and performance tuning. ETL processes between legacy and modern databases.
GitHub:
Git version control, branch management, and code review workflows. Familiarity with CI/CD integrations (GitHub Actions preferred).
Unix Shell Scripting:
Develop and maintain robust scripts for automation and system tasks.
Proficient with Unix command-line tools for batch processing and monitoring.
grep/sed/awk:
Advanced text processing for log analysis and data transformation.
Python & Perl:
Automation, data manipulation, and migration utilities.
Java:
Build new components, integrate services, and migrate business logic.
Jfrog (Artifactory):
Manage binary artifacts and repository integration.
Kafka/Event Hub:
Design and integrate event‑driven systems. Migrate or bridge event processing between platforms.
Additional Responsibilities
Reverse engineer undocumented legacy systems.
Map business processes to new architectures.
Plan and execute safe data migrations with validation.
Document migration steps and system mappings.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
Qualifications
10+ years of software development experience.
Strong Java expertise; C/C++ proficiency is a plus.
Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
