Materials Analyst

Yanfeng Location: Detroit, MI (other locations may be available).
Responsibilities
Ensure on‑time delivery of customer orders and acquisition of materials.
Optimize freight and inventory levels.
Implement production scheduling, logistics, and inventory control processes to maintain uninterrupted material flow while keeping inventories minimal.
Select, motivate, train, and develop a competent materials handling staff.
Anticipate and resolve short‑term and long‑term issues with corrective action.
Assist with warehouse layout and execution.
Daily walks to verify materials are stored in proper locations.
Manage the most economical inbound/outbound transportation routes, exploring opportunities for shipment consolidation and milk runs.
Understand, apply, and meet all function‑related quality requirements.
Understand, apply, and meet all function‑related Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
Understand, apply, and meet all function‑related product‑safety requirements.
Understand, apply, and meet all function‑related compliance requirements.
Understand, apply, and meet all function‑related information‑security and confidentiality requirements for YFAI information.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Be able to work additional hours or overtime as necessary to complete duties on time.
Multitask and interact politely and professionally with customers, suppliers, and vendors, and collaborate with employees at all levels.
Maintain predictable attendance and arrive on time at the designated location, whether plant, corporate office, or remote assignment.
Required Education Bachelor’s level degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered for certain positions.
Required Qualifications
1 – 3 years of experience, preferably within the automotive industry.
A willingness and ability to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants that may require climbing, lifting, or confined‑space work.
