560036### Job TitleSenior/Staff Ultrasound Engineer – Medical Device (San Diego, CA)### Job Description**Senior/Staff Ultrasound Engineer – Medical Device (San Diego, CA)**You will be at the forefront of the design/development of our next generation Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) products that are helping to save lives around the world.**Your role:*** Applying acoustic wave propagation and signal processing theory to the design and specification of new imaging algorithms and imaging sub-systems.* Leading development and implementation of new ultrasound imaging capabilities, including development plans, algorithm design, integration strategy, and SW implementation.* Participate in the design, development, and integration of new ultrasound systems and transducers.* Tune IVUS systems for optimum image quality on a range of transducers and imaging features.
Also, work closely with customers to understand their needs and evaluation of new designs.* Help translate marketing/customer requirements into engineering specifications.**You're the right fit if:*** You have 5+ years of experience in the field of medical imaging research and/or product development with the majority being in the development of Ultrasound Imaging Systems.* You've earned a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. PhD desired.* You are an expert in MATLAB.* You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this .* You have the ability to plan, lead, and execute laboratory research and experimentation.**About Philips:**We are a health technology company. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
