About the job The Product Marketing team is seeking a strategic and technical Senior Product Marketing Manager focused on driving market success for SAS across AI Engineering and MLOps areas for SAS Viya. Our teams sit at the intersection of product, sales, marketing, and partnerships, focused on creating compelling messaging and strong value propositions that resonate with our customers and partners.
This role is critical to shaping how we position our SAS platform in a rapidly evolving landscape and enabling our go-to-market teams to win in the enterprise technology space. You will drive the market positioning and go-to-market strategy of how SAS enables enterprises to deploy, govern, and operationalize robust AI agents and production-scale machine learning systems.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a product marketer who wants to shape how enterprises think about production‑grade AI and MLOps. You’ll be at the forefront of one of technology’s most transformative shifts—the move from experimental AI to governed, production‑scale agentic systems.
As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will:
Create and communicate positioning and product marketing plans based on your AI Engineering and MLOps domain expertise which lead the development of messaging and positioning.
Position SAS capabilities with MLOps Engineers and business decision‑makers alike and drive the creation of key messages and stories to support decision makers and users.
Define marketing strategy by working directly with analysts, product management, sales, campaign marketing, customer success, partners, and thought leaders as market driven inputs.
Act as a primary spokesperson with external audiences.
Drive thought leadership activities including articles, whitepapers, blogs, videos, customer reference and story development, speaking engagements and involvement with key 3rd party organizations.
Define product and feature launch plans and work with internal and external parties to execute.
Support sales enablement through customer engagements, consulting and internal education programs.
Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.

Required qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related discipline.
8+ years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Consulting or related function in the technology industry, preferably in product marketing.
Strong interest in MLOps, LLM Ops and AI Engineering concepts.
Exceptional communication skills across channels as well as small and large groups.
Strong writing skills including the ability to translate technical information into simple, audience‑appropriate language.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
